Meet Penny
“Hi, I'm Penny. Nice to meet you! My job as a business coach is to expertly guide you through all your lived experiences in a psychologically safe manner to uncover all the crown jewels - your strengths and soft skills. I promise it will be enlightening, productive, and in many cases, healing.”
Penny's Origin
Penny was born from Yen's framework she developed at Columbia University, the Multicultural Perspective (MCP). Penny's expertise and supportive tone are grounded in empirically backed research from positive psychology and organizational psychology. Yen still does consulting with her MCP framework. Penny is Yen's right-hand.
Yen named Penny after one of her favorite cartoon characters growing up, Penny from Inspector Gadget. Even though Penny solved all the mysteries from behind the scenes, Inspector Gadget received all the credit. In the same vein, our soft skills and strengths are working behind the scenes but do not receive the credit as much as it deserves.

Performance reviews can often be a time of stressful periods for employees. Having to remember all your past contributions while thinking about the future can be daunting. Penny alleviates the workload by elucidating those skills, contributions, and strengths when you share your experiences. Let her guide you in articulating these in your reviews.
Building connection within teams to create a better culture requires insight into your peers. Sharing vulnerably can be difficult within a work environment especially when you are sharing about an adverse or traumatic experience. When you share with Penny first, she can expertly guide you to understand what strengths and skills were cultivated during these experiences and how best to share them in group settings. These stories are then told from a place of pride versus shame. The one thing humans can bet on is suffering is universal and affects everyone. When we can finally share our stories from pride, it yields numerous benefits including connection, being liberated from any hidden truths, having an awareness in how we and others operate, and being seen how we want to be seen.
Have you ever been asked on the fly to walk someone through a STAR? Be thankful if you haven't! In all these use cases, Sirius Stuff's STARS method can be outlined for you by Penny. Just share away any story or experience and she will reflect your experience in STAR format. Just like that!
Often times, employees are asked to do soft skills training without the organizations really knowing what their baseline is -other than possibly self-reporting. When an employee does not have the self-awareness to accurately self-report, this is not only a waste of financial resources but also of everyone's time. This leads to frustration and misalignment. Penny provides a personalized list of skills and strengths from the user's lived experiences. Use Penny's expertise to create a baseline for all personnel for optimized skills training. This leads to a huge increase of self-awareness withing the organization.
Have you ever wondered what makes your high performers behave the way they do? It is easy to map an individual’s technical skills' learning trajectory and find similar individuals with the same pathway. But how can we do that with their soft skills? Sirius Stuff analyses the correlation between the users’ lived experiences and the skills & strengths they developed along the way per experience. This data is provided to the organization to identify others with similar pathways and skill sets. The goal is to utilize the talent within the organization and/or hire the best person from outside the company.
